Till today I was using my son's http://www.kaisare.net blog spot to post my thoughts or to post comments on some others' blog.
Now that, I have started my own Blog Spot I will begin posting my thoughts through my own blogspot http://www.srkaisare.blogspot.com
I am an Indian and stay in Mumbai, India. Hence, my majority of thouoghts invariably shall be based on happenings in India or for that matter Indian Circle. Hope the Blog Fraternity will accept this.
I was just wondering about the latest controversy on banning the Pepsi and Coke drinks in India as they contain the pesticides 24 times higher than the normally allowed under the law of the country. This reveletion will definitely create fear in the minds of a common people. But then what is the fact?? I really do not know but I know for sure that this hype has been created by politicians for whatever benefit they want to accrue out of this.
Whether the water we are drinking, milk being delivered at our doorsteps, daily dose of vegitables we are eating, for that matter a mother's milk (I am sorry, I have to make this comment as Mr. Sharad Pawar, an important Indian politician and a Minister For Agriculture, commented that the coconut water and even a mothers' milk is also not free from the content of pesticides) etc. are free of pesticides?
What is the Truth? As a common man I am not aware. But I am worried as the other people are.
There is a Food and Drug Administration of Govt of India. But these pesticide facts were found by some non-government agency "Center For Science and Environment, New Delhi".
I do not know what the Govet's own Food and Drug Administration is doing.
At least Indian Express (Indian Neews Agency) group tried to find out once the fact and observed that each and every sample of Ice being sold in the city of Pune contain pesticides.
Pepsi and Coke has a world market, then why in India only, it has the high content of pesticides. Or is it that the pesticides content in liquids and vegetables, pulses and farm products do no harm the human body?
I am at a loss of having acceptable explanation.
